Sea World and the Dinosaur State Park

This past weekend we took our annual trip to Sea World San Antonio and the Dinosaur State Park. We drove down to San Antonio on Thursday afternoon and stayed with one of my best friends and her family.

We hit Sea World on Friday where we got to feed the dolphins, catch the beluga whale and Shamu shows, check out the sharks and manta rays, ride on the Shamu roller coaster, and have our first taste of cotton candy. The weather was perfect and the kids had a great time!

On Saturday we hit the Sea World water park first, picniced near the water ski show, fed the alligators, took in another beluga whale show, and got completely soaked at the Shamu show ~ another wonderful Sea World trip!

We left San Antonio on Sunday morning and headed north to DFW. We stopped for lunch at the Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glenrose. "Dinosaur Valley State Park contains some of the best preserved dinosaur tracks in the world." After lunch we walked across the Paluxy River to the side of the riverbed with the dinosaur tracks. We saw Pleurocelus, Acrocanthosaurus, and Iguanodon tracks and tail imprints in the limestone. The kids liked the prints but really enjoyed the trek across the river the best!
