Little Miss is loving being in Daisy Scouts this year! At her first meeting 3 weeks ago she learned about being Fair and Honest and earned the Fair and Honest petal on her Daisy Scout Patch. Last week the girls learned about and earned their "Make the World a Better Place" petal. This morning, to reinforce that lesson, our troop headed over to the local community center for the Keep "Our City" Beautiful day. They gave us trash bags, recycling bags, gloves, and trash picker upper grabbers and sent us out to a local park to pick up trash. We picked up trash a two local parks, learned to identify poison ivy, and then went to Baskin Robbins for an ice cream social. The girls had a great time and learned a little about caring for our community in the process.
